Welcome to the Association of Schools of Social Work in Romania website. ASSW-Romania is an NGO established by academics from the top four Social Work Departments in Romania: University of Bucharest, University Babeş-Bolyai of Cluj, University Al.I.Cuza of Iaşi and West University of Timişoara.
ASSW-Romania wished to contribute to the visibility of social work in Romania, as well as to promote and develop the education and research in the field of social work, both at national and international levels.
We aim at increasing the quality of education in the Romanian schools of social work, connect them with other European and international educational programs, participate in international networks in the field of social work, organize conferences and edit publications in the field of social work.
As President of ASSW-Romania, I wish that the Romanian social work network becomes an equal and reliable partner of institutional actors and academics at European and international level.
